SPECIAL INFORMATION

 

How much does this service cost? 

The costs for a private chef experience are between £49.95 to £69.95 per person


What is the minimum number of  guests you cater for? 

We ask that a Minimum of 8 guests are booked on Fridays, Saturdays and Bank holidays

 

How do I make a Payment? 

Once I have confirmed availability I will send an invoice showing the full amount for the event along with a deposit amount to hold the date usually £150 along with my bank details Until the deposit payment is made, the inquiry booking cannot be confirmed. your booking will be confirmed via email and text once I have received the payment. 

 

The balance will need to be paid one week before the event, if payment is not received on the required date then the date will be released to a waiting list and the deposit will be non-refundable. 

 

Cancellation of booking? 

All deposits are non-refundable, however if you wish to move the date I will do my best to accommodate any new dates you may have in ,mind as long as they are suitable to both parties. The deposit will then be transferred to the new  celebration date. 

For cancellations less than 14 days before your event but more than 72 hours prior to our arrival then you may still move your event to a different date and/or location and incur no additional penalty or charges with the exception of any extra time lost to travel etc . If we are unable to accommodate this new date and it needs to be cancelled, then we will still honor the full value of anything paid to Real food Chefs ltd against a future event as a credit. 

Bookings cancelled less than 48 hours prior to arrival time shall result in the loss of any and all payment excepted by the Real Food Chefs and no refund or credit options will be available. 

 

 



Prices are subject to change   

As a private chef my two largest costs are food and fuel, at the moment we are in strange times and so sometimes adjustments to our costs are unavoidable. I written my menus in advance and have based my prices from Jan 2023 however

 I will be reviewing the increases in my supplies Month on month which includes reducing the price which we will pass on to you. 

 

If we have accepted your booking and confirmed your quoted price , this price will not change. 

 

Covid 19

As a private chef I come into close contact with many people and so follow You Gov guidelines and the policies that have been imposed for the local area, if we are placed in a local lock down then all monies will be refunded for your event.

 

Could there be any changes to the menu?

I talk to my suppliers regularly but in some cases we may have problems with the supply of some produce.

If there are any changes required to your chosen menu we would inform you of the changes before your event

 

Do you have Public Liability Insurance? 

Yes, I am insured with Simply Business insurance company for

Public Liability and Employment. 

 

What about an allergen, dietary requirements? 

For bookings over 15 we provide you with an ordering platform for your guests to order them selves but in all cases Please make sure you provide during booking all known dietary and allergen information of your guests. 

Whilst myself and my team have many years of experience with allergens and dietary requirements , however we cannot be held accountable if we are not made aware , please ensure in all cases a written confirmation is made regarding allergens , we cant help if we don’t know .

Chef Marcus also holds food level 3 in food safety, allergen awareness 


Service Areas? 

I live just outside Ulverston and so most areas are within an hour of our travel time limits, but I am happy to travel throughout the North West but we ask for a small contribution to our fuel cost. 

 

Location

Living within the lakes, the postcodes for many of the locations

are often quite vague.

What about pots and pans? 

 We will bring a small collection of kitchen equipment, such as knives/whisks, etc., but will rely upon the equipment on site. 


Do we use our crockery and cutlery? 

 I supply my own crockery for the meals that I present but we do use the cutlery on site if applicable. 

 

What about adding children’s meals to my event? 

There are obviously lots of advantages to hiring a Private Chef to come to your home or holiday accommodation in the lake distict and cater for you is wonderful for families who have small children .You can arrange your sit down for after the children have gone to bed however if your anything like my family you may want to include the children and why not? 

Children often have different tastes and appetites to us adults, so you do not have to pay full price for them if you want them to eat from the same menu. Children (aged 5 or under eat for free and we have a special kids menu for children over 6 but under 14 years of age

 

Who cleans up? 

 It goes without saying Before we leave we will do a full clean down of the kitchen and any equipment they have used. This will include stacking the dishwasher and washing up any dirty cutlery or extra crockery we may have used once you have finished with it. Please note, we politely ask that you empty the dishwasher and leave the kitchen in a clean state for the team’s arrival.
